Students will have various assignments/tasks thoughout the course of the year that will compose their averages.
These assignments will be classroom activities, homework, quizzes, and tests.
Students will be expected to participate in collaborative work with peers. Homework assignments will be assigned and collected and late work will not be accepted.
The test rewrite policy will apply to all major tests but not quizzes as they are designed to help teacher and student understand what information to study.
Report cards are quarterly and parents will also receive a 5-week report outlining student grades.
If a parent wishes to be notified more frequently, they must arrange this with me.
Students and parents will have access to a quarterly newsletter hightlighting different class activities.
This newsletter will also highlight various strategies to help students be successful.
Students are responsible for various assignments thoughout the quarter.
Most assignments will be done collaboratively in student work groups but there will be some assignments where students must demonstrate their own understanding of the skill.
